Rated 4 out of 5 by luvlikecrzy from Once you learn how to make the Ribbon Roses the rest is easy! Takes a bit of practice to perfect it, but this is such a classy looking cake no matter what colors you use. So glad my instructor taught us to put a line of icing where we want to place the flowers so they are "raised" a bit. It dramatically changes the entire look of the cake. I used a cookie sheet and made one rose right after another, then put them into the freezer for a few minutes so they were easier to handle. Worked great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheri White from I made this for my hubby on Valentines Day. I made it a chocolate cake, which I think hepled to make it more "manly". Really cute with chocolate roses topping it. But I left out the doily and ruffles, instead just piped a chocolate shell border.
