We should warn you: These are addicting! A lush red chocolate cookie gets a dusting of confectioners? sugar over its crackled crust. Serve at any Christmas sweet swap, and watch them disappear.
Makes: Makes about 2-1/2 dozen cookies.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F. Prepare cookie pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In large bowl, stir together cake mix, cocoa, eggs and butter until just combined. Roll heaping tablespoons of dough into balls and coat in confectioners? sugar. Freeze 15 minutes. Roll again in confectioners? sugar. Space 2 in. apart on prepared cookie pan.

Step 3

Bake 16-18 minutes or until centers of cookies are semi-firm to the touch. Cool cookies on pan on cooling grid 2 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on grid.

My neighbor is absolutely nuts about red velvet anything, so when I made this for him I asked him to let me know whether I should keep or delete the recipe and he said without a doubt do not get rid of that recipe so he is extremely happy and the taste the texture the appearance it was everything the recipe said it would be... Very easy to make and they look absolutely beautiful...
