Tools:
Ingredients:
- Candy Melts (for decorating)
- Caramel Candy Flavor
- Rainbow Nonpareils (for decorating)
- 6 ice cream cone cups (with flat bottom)
- 1/4 cup peanuts, finely chopped
- 3 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1-1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup caramel topping
- 1/2 teaspoon Wilton Caramel Flavor
In large bowl, lightly sprayed with vegetable pan spray, combine cereal and peanuts. Set aside. Place marshmallow, peanut butter and caramel topping in 1-quart microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes, stirring at 45-second intervals until mixture is smooth. Pour caramel mixture over cereal and peanuts; stir to coat. (Tip: Spraying spoon with vegetable pan spray makes it easier to stir.) Set aside until ready to use.
To decorate:
Melt Light Cocoa Candy Melts in a custard cup. Dip the top third of the
cone into the Candy Melts mixture. Immediately dip the cone in Rainbow
Nonpareils and set aside to dry.
Fill each cone with approximately 3/4 cup of cereal mixture and form into torch shape. Set aside to cool and firm up.
In separate bowls, melt Yellow and Orange Candy Melts™. Pour into separate Disposable Decorating Bags. Pressing bags together, squeeze melted Candy Melts into plastic cup to swirl colors. Dip Torch Treats into melted candy. Set aside to dry.
YIELD: Makes 6 torches.
