instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 cookie sheets with Parchment Paper.

Blend confectioners' sugar and walnuts in food processor fitted with steel blade until nuts are ground into powder, scraping sides of bowl often, about 6-8 minutes.

Add cocoa powder and orange flavor, blend 1 minute more.

In larger mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.

Fold nuts into whites in 4 additions, making a thick batter.

Spoon half of batter into Dessert Decorator Pro™ without a tip. Pipe batter onto prepared cookie sheet, in walnut sized mounds, spacing 1-inch apart (cookies will spread slightly).

Bake cookies one sheet at a time, until firm in center and dry and cracked on top, about 8 minutes. Cool cookies on cooling rack.

Repeat with remaining batter, lining baking sheets with clean parchment for each batch.

Creamy White Icing Mix or Whipped Icing Mix Chocolate for Drizzling Walnut halves

To decorate: With Whipped Icing Mix or Creamy White Icing Mix flavored with Orange Candy Flavoring, pipe a rosette using the Dessert Decorator Pro™ fitted with tip 1M. Drizzle melted chocolate over icing and top with a walnut half.
