Chocolate Orange Walnut Cookies combine a terrific trio of tastes into one treat your family will love. Dress them up for company by adding a piped rosette, nut and drizzle of melted chocolate.

Orange Candy Flavoring

Whipped Icing Mix

Creamy White Buttercream Icing Mix

1 pound box Confectioners' sugar

3 cups walnuts
-
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 teaspoon Orange Candy Flavoring

6 lrg egg whites
Makes: Each cookie serves 1.
instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 cookie sheets with
Parchment Paper.
Blend confectioners' sugar and walnuts in food
processor fitted with steel blade until nuts are ground into powder,
scraping sides of bowl often, about 6-8 minutes.
Add cocoa powder
and orange flavor, blend 1 minute more.
In larger mixing bowl, beat
egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold nuts into whites in 4 additions,
making a thick batter.
Spoon half of batter into Dessert Decorator
Pro™ without a tip. Pipe batter onto prepared cookie sheet,
in walnut sized mounds, spacing 1-inch apart (cookies will spread
slightly).
Bake cookies one sheet at a time, until firm in center
and dry and cracked on top, about 8 minutes. Cool cookies on cooling
rack.
Repeat with remaining batter, lining baking sheets with clean
parchment for each batch.
Garnish:
Creamy White Icing Mix or Whipped Icing Mix Chocolate for Drizzling
Walnut halves
To decorate: With Whipped Icing Mix or Creamy White Icing Mix flavored
with Orange Candy Flavoring, pipe a rosette using the Dessert Decorator
Pro™ fitted with tip 1M. Drizzle melted chocolate over icing
and top with a walnut half.
