*Note: Since buttercream icing will break down color flow, position on a piece
of plastic wrap cut to fit, sugar cubes or mini marshmallows.
Using Graduation Cap pattern and color flow icing, outline approximately 24 caps
using tip 2 and parchment bag.
When dry, flow-in with thinned icing. Make extras
to allow for breakage and let dry.
Using full strength color flow icing, pipe
tip 2 string and dot tassels. Let dry.
Ice 1-layer cakes smooth in buttercream
and prepare for stacked construction.
Pipe tip 18 top and tip 21 bottom shell
borders. Add tip 2 message. Pipe tip 59s confetti on top and middle tiers.
Immediately
before serving, attach caps to cake with dots of icing. Position Glad grad topper.
