Chocolate Roll-Out Cookies
Chocolate Roll-Out Cookies let you cut fun shapes and holiday designs that are both delicious and interesting, even without additional decorations!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- Easy-Add Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract Add to shopping list Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3 squares (3 ounces) unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Makes:
2-2 1/2 dozen cookies.
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
In large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar with mixer until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Blend in chocolate.
Step 4
Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until smooth.
Step 5
Cover and chill until firm, about 1 hour.
Step 6
Roll dough approximately 1/8 in. thick.
Step 7
Dip cutters in flour, cut and transfer cookies to cookie sheet.
Step 8
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Step 9
Remove to rack and cool thoroughly.
