We?ve created a spellbinding hard-cooked egg wrapped in colorful strips of our Sugar Sheets! Edible Decorating Paper. Even the base is beautiful, created from braided fondant strips made with our Decorative Press Set.
Use Rotary Cutter to cut one or two strips each from all sheet colors, 1/4 in. wide x 6 in. long (nine strips needed). Attach around egg with piping gel. Trim to fit.
Tint 3 oz. fondant brown. Roll out ¾ in. thick. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut a circle for bottom of base. Use smallest Cut-Out to cut a hole in center. Pinch inside to widen at top; smooth
Add a little shortening to remaining fondant. Use press with 3-hole insert to press strings, 10 or 11 in. long. Twist two strings together to form an 8 in. long braid. Attach to top of circle with piping gel.
Press seven more strings, 9 in. long. Wrap around side of circle, securing with piping gel.
