Decorate cake. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint portions light rose for belly, medium rose for head and ears, dark rose for wings, golden yellow/lemon yellow combination (for yellow) for beak and feet and black for pupils. Reserve some white for eyes.
Use spatula to ice back of eye cookies; attach to cake. Use tip 18 to cover eyes, cake top and sides with stars. Pipe a second layer of stars for dimension. Use tip 18 to pipe black pupils, 1.25 in. dia.
