It’s a zombie cookie-pocolypse! Great to use as Halloween treats for a party or zombie movie marathon, these Zombie Zone Halloween cookies are a fun way to get creative with cookie decorating. Mix and match icing colors and decorating tips to create cool zombie treats that look scary and taste delicious! Best of all, these zombies aren’t lying down on the job! Each cookie in the Zombie Zone set includes an Easel Back Pattern so your cookies can literally rise to the occasion! And, as we all know, zombies are useless without brains! Thankfully, the Otto B. Alive Zombie Zone Cookie has some brains on hand…though he doesn’t look like he’s willing to share!
In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use skull cutter from set to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in skin tone, then
decorate features as follows.
Draw veins on candy eyeballs
with edible marker; attach with dots of icing.
Pipe in tip 5 pants and sweater. Pipe tip 12
pull-out arms. Pipe tip 3 pull-out fingers.
Pipe tip 2 pull-out toes, outline and pipe
in mouth, outline teeth, stitches and nose,
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
