Make fondant mustache. Use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use medium Cut-Out from leaf Cut-Outs fondant cutter set to cut two leaves for each cupcake; reverse for opposite side. Let dry overnight on cornstarch-dusted cake board.
DAY OF CELEBRATION
Bake and cool cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint a portion red-red. Reserve some white. Use spatula and red icing to ice tops smooth.
Decorate mustache. Use tip 14 and reserved white icing to cover mustache with horizontal lines. Position mustache on cupcake, supporting with mounds of icing.
