Rated 5 out of 5 by LindaMcC from I've never made a cake besides a pound cake before. But, I wanted to do something special for my son's first birthday. This mold was great! And the instructions were easy to follow. I used the pre-mixed Wilton buttercream icing mix instead of making my own for my first try. It was easy and delicious. I had to decorate the cake over a 2-day period, so in between sessions, I placed the cake in the freezer. It worked out really well. Can't wait to start baking more cakes!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by bubbleyblues from This cake pan was so great, I was able to see all the lines of where to decorate with ease. Great pan for so many reasons, instead of using the star tip that is shown, I used the grass/ Hair tip. I think that it gave my cake more of a life-like look to it. I would definitely be careful with the coloring though. I used the (skin tone) color for the frosting and it ended up being so orange that i had to scrap it and use just a light dab of the brown fod coloring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momto5 from I made this cake to go along with a "mod monkey" birthday theme and it turned out great! I am not a particularly skilled decorator and the only part that I had trouble with is in forming the leaves in the vine around the bottom of the cake. I suggest allowing yourself a few extra minutes practice time if you have never made leaves before, or even leaving the leaves off. Otherwise, the cake is very simple to decorate and was a huge hit at the party!

Rated 5 out of 5 by vargassr1972 from I have made this cake three times and each time for different occasion. Baby shower if monkey is the theme, birthday party for adult if its time to monkey around and for a child's party. Strawberry cake and just an outline frosting is very cute. Red Velvet and again an outline frosting is great. A hint for great success when using this pan is spray with Pam and freeze it while you prepare batter for a perfect monkey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tinamd25 from I love this pan. My youngest daughter loves curious george and we had everything monkey and bananas for her 5th bday party. I used this pan to make george and the balloons (out of cup cakes) he floated away on in the movie . I used a caramel and a fudge frosting for the two different browns of a monkey and made a banana cake. SHE WAS SO HAPPY with her cake, THANK YOU ^_^

Rated 4 out of 5 by alexander from This cake is pritty much easy, just takes a while to put i all the stars. I tried to use the star with the three on it and well that did not work out for me. But it was worth it at the end my family loved it. i was able to put alot in to it. my favorite part was doing the eyes and out lining it. you should really out line it causethen it really pops out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coltina72 from This was my 1st character cake. I had so much fun decoarting this. The directions were somewhat easy to follow. My little 17 year old daughter loves Monkeys and she just had to have this cake. We did it in the colors suggested by Wilton, I did have an interesting time dying the frosting also but it was so much fun and I look forward to making it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by debraakadebbie from This monkey cake was very easy to make. The outlines on the cake pan makes icing very easy. The step by step instructions found on the pan's cover sheet or Wilton web site makes this cake a great success to bake and decorate. This cake was a great 1st birthday cake for my great-nephew; everyone just loved it. It was so simple to make.
