Fun for outdoor celebrations and kids? parties, Wilton Treat Pops are easy to make with layers of icing and cake and a fun monkey icing decoration. Kids and adults alike love creating and eating these colorful treats.
Make trees one day in advance. Use fondant roller to roll out jelly spearment leaves on granulated sugar-covered countertop. Use medium leaf Cut-Out to cut six leaves. Melt green Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted green candy in cut parchment bag to attach leaves to pretzel stick. Chill until firm 3 to 5 minutes. Place tree upside down in flower former cup to set overnight.
Make mini whoopie pies. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool whoopie pies according to pan package directions.
Assemble treat pops. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint green, yellow and orange. Push mini whoopie pie into bottom of treat pops container. Use tip 2A and yellow icing to pipe swirl from back edge following the curve of the container then filling in the center. Repeat to add one layer of cake with orange icing and one layer of cake with yellow icing. Finish with a mini whoopie pie on top.
Decorate treat pops. Use tip 233 and green icing to cover top of treat pop with pull-out grass. Insert tree into top of treat pops. Position monkey icing decoration.
