Mom's Sweet Garden Cake is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressive, but tedious cake. I made the flowers and MOM letters in royal icing, which added extra time towards making this cake. The MOM letters I just placed on top of the cake, didn't prop it up. Checkerboard effect, while super impressive to whomever eats the cake, takes a lot of time. It's worth it. I posted a review of the Checkerboard Cake Set on the product page with tips on using it. I rated this cake somewhat easy because you need to know a few techniques for making the flowers and grass as well as getting a good checkerboard inside. Here's a picture of my cake: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o274/gracethalia/Untitled_.jpg

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love using the checkerboard cake pans because people always think my cakes take a lot of time but they don't! I use a denser cake like a pound cake so the lines don't run together, and I play around with different flavors in my buttercream like orange or lemon to make it go with the pound cake. I didn't make the cookies- I used another idea of Wilton's to make them out of icing on a wax paper template and layed them on top of the cake. I did the same for the flowers that go on the sides. Too cute! My mom loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cake was a success for our family gathering and of course for Mom for Mother's day. It can be time consuming but it was worth it. I would suggest that for the letter "M" you use two lollipop sticks for each cookie for the extra support. One of the "M's" broke in half but thank goodness I had made extras. This cake was very pretty when it was cut and served.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recently did this cake for Mother's Day. It was super easy and everyone loved it. I didn't do the cookies on top, instead wrote a message and put a couple of butterflies on it (my daughter's favorite part). It turned out really cute. Great cake for a beginner also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once I realized the divider needs to come out before baking a lot easier.
