A sweet treat you can eat in one bite, these Mini Gingerbread Boy Petit Fours are sure to become a holiday favorite. Made using a firm-textured batter, such as pound cake, one recipe can make up to 30 little Christmas treats, so this is a great go-to for an upcoming holiday potluck or work holiday party. In advance: Make candy gingerbread boys.
Place boy cutter from mini set on non-stick
pan. Fill 1/4 in. deep with melted light cocoa
candy. Tap to settle; chill until firm. Use melted
white candy in cut parchment bag to pipe
outline border and dot buttons. Use melted
red candy to pipe dot eyes, outline smile and
dots on white buttons. Chill until firm.
Bake and cool cake using firm-textured
batter, such as pound cake. Use smallest
round cutter from 101 cutter set to mark
circles across top (one cake will make 30
petits fours); cut out using a knife.
Place cakes on cooling grid over parchment
covered cookie sheet. Cover with melted
white candy. Tap to settle; chill
Use rotary cutter to cut seven
each pink and red edible paper strips for
each treat, 1/4 in. x 1 in. Use piping gel to
attach alternating strips to sides, 1/4 in.
