These cute Merrymaker Elf Cookies are a sweet treat to add to your holiday baking lineup, and you’ll love how fun it is to personalize each cookie! Made using a combination of two cookie cutters, this Christmas cookie is one you can probably make with cutters you have on hand already!
Make cookies. Prepare and roll out cookie dough following recipe directions. Use Santa hat cutter from 18-pc. holiday metal set to cut hats. Use third largest (3 1/4 in.) cutter from 4-pc. circles nesting metal set to cut heads. Bake and cool cookies.
Outline and flow in cookies. Prepare Color Flow icing following recipe directions. Tint portions red-red/ black combination (for red), leaf green/lemon yellow combination (for green), black and copper. Reserve some white. Use tip 2 and full-strength copper icing to outline head and full-strength green icing to outline hat. Use thinned icing to flow in cookies. Let dry 4 to 6 hours.
Use tip 2 and red icing to outline brim detail. Use thinned red icing in cut dipsosable bag to flow in brim. Let dry overnight.

Decorate details. Use full-strength icing unless otherwise noted. Use tip 2 and black icing to pipe outline smile. Use tip 2 and white icing to pipe dot freckles. Use tip 3 and black icing to pipe dot eyes. Use tip 3 and copper icing to pipe dot ears. Use tip 6 and black icing to outline hair. Attach hat to head. Use marshmallow to support hat. Use tip 6 and red icing to pipe ball pompom; flatten and smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Use tip 3 to pipe red dots on crown. Let dry overnight.
