Make cookies. Prepare sugar cookie dough following recipe on cookie cutter package. Divide dough and tint a portion rose. Cut and bake according to cookie cutter package. Cool completely. Use spatula to spread jam on whole bottom cookie and sandwich together.
Decorate cookies. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint red. Use tip 2 and red icing to outline top of cookies with scallops and pipe dots. Let set.
