Frequently Asked Questions

 

Q: Can I still attend classes if I am from a different country?
A: Absolutely! However, students coming from some foreign countries will be required to obtain a tourist visa to attend classes. Each student is responsible for applying for and obtaining his/her own visa. We strongly suggest that you apply for your visa before registering for classes, so you don’t run the risk of losing your registration fee if your visa application is denied

 

Q: Is The Master Course the same as The Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Courses 1, 2, 3 offered at my local retail/hobby store?
A: No. The Master Courses are extensive, comprehensive classes designed for students to get a complete overview of a decorating medium. The classes offered at local retail/hobby stores are more general introductions to cake decorating and do not offer the depth of instruction that the Master Classes do.

 

Q: Are all of the classes listed in this catalog offered at my local craft store?
A: No. All courses listed in this catalog are unique to The Wilton School and are only taught at our location in Darien, Illinois.

 

Q: Is the registration fee included in the tuition?
A: No. Registration fees and tuition are separate charges. Registration fees are not refundable or transferrable.

 

Q: Can I pay for my class/classes in installments?
A: No, all tuition and fees must be paid at once. If payment is not received within this time, your place in class will not be held.

 

Q: If I take several classes, will I get a discount?
A: Discounted pricing is available when you purchase The Masters Series. Please refer to pricing details upon registration.

 

Q: If I have to cancel, will I get a refund?
A: Students who notify the school before the start of class will be refunded all paid tuition. Registration fees are not refundable or transferrable. You may apply these unused tuition fees to a future Wilton class within 90 days. After 90 days, the tuition fees will be refunded. Credit and debit card payments are refunded back to the card used for payment; Cash payments will be returned by check.

 

Q: Do I need to purchase or bring any supplies to class?
A: No. All the supplies and tools are provided.

Q: How can I contact the Wilton School if I have questions or if I'd like to take a tour?

You may also visit the school. We are located at 7511 Lemont Rd., Darial, IL 60561. Please note that the Wilton School has varying business hours. We recommend that you call in advance to set up a visit.
