  1. Bake cookies. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Roll out dough to 1/8 in. thick. Using round cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Prepare icing. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe instructions. Reserve ½ cup icing for later step. Using remaining icing and angled spatula, ice all cookies smooth.

  3. Decorate cookies. For “I Lava You” Cookies: Using Pink Sparkle Gel, pipe message on cookie. Attach heart sprinkles.

    For Volcano Cookies: Combine Brown and Red-Red icing colors to get brown color shown. Using reserved ½ cup icing, tint brown using color combinations provided. Prepare decorating bag with tip 8 and brown icing. Pipe volcano on cookie. Using tapered spatula, texture icing. Using Pink Sparkle Gel, pipe lava. Attach heart sprinkles.
