Rated 5 out of 5 by Laf3th from I bake for my classmates and tend to cut the amount of icing sugar for any recipe down to size. I used 2 1/2 cups of icing sugar instead of the 4-5 and just whipped the icing for longer to get more air into it. Even with the 2 1/2 cups, it was still a touch too sweet for my friends and family.

Cream cheese icing is always creamy and delicious but some people find it too sweet so the citris helps cut the sweetness. This is a wonderful icing over plain cupcakes and pound cake. You can also use this as a matching icing to the margarita cupcake batter or to match a citrus pound cake. This has turned out wonderful everytime I have made it.
