In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in skin tone, then
decorate features as follows.
Attach candy eyeballs with dots
of icing. Spatula ice pants and shirt. Use edge
of spatula to texturize shirt. Pipe tip 12 pullout
arms. Pipe tip 3 pull-out fingers and hair,
pipe in eyelids and mouth. Pipe tip 2 dot toes
and nostrils, outline eye sockets.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
