Ingredients:
- Pre-baked Gingerbread House Kit
- White icing mix (included in kit)
- granulated sugar
- Gum drop candy rings, star candies, mini multi-colored candies, candy rounds (included in kit)
Makes: 1 gingerbread house.
instructions
Divide prepared decorating icing in half, use half for decorating the house now, the other half for
adding “snow” around the house later (keep covered with a damp cloth).
Fill decorating bag with 1/2 cup icing.
Outline door and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Attach candy round
for window and mini multi-colored candies around doorframe with dots of icing.
Roll out candy round flat and cut for windows; attach to house with icing. Outline windowpanes and
attach mini multi-colored candies on windowsills with dots of icing. For window above door, attach
mini multi-colored candies on each corner with dots of icing. For remaining windows, cut gum drop
candy rings in half and attach two halves for awnings and one half above awning. Decorate semi
circle outline over awning and attach mini multi-colored candy above semi circle outline.
Decorate zigzags on corner seams of house and straight lines under eaves. Ice roof smooth and
divide each side into fourths with lines of icing. Attach a row of stars on roof between each line with
dots of icing. Decorating line on roof peak. Cut gum drop candy rings in half and attach on roof peak
with dots of icing. Decorate icicles on eaves.
Ice base fluffy and position candy rounds for walkway.
NOTE: Additional candy may be required.
