Stacked Circles Fondant Cake
8 cups of your Favorite cake recipe or mix
Cake serves 20.
Make cake. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cakes. Prepare buttercream following recipe directions. Stack and fill for a 2-layer, 4 in. high cake.
Cover cake with fondant. Use spatula and icing to ice cake lightly. Cover cake with blue fondant. Reserve remaining blue fondant.
Decorate cake. Use fondant roller with blue guide rings to roll out reserved blue fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use straight edge of second largest [2 3/8 in.] and third smallest [1 5/8 in.] round cut-outs to cut out 42 circles of each size. Use a damp brush to attach small circles to center of larger circles.
Use damp brush to attach circles 1/2 in. from top of cake so they are side by side. Use damp brush to attach second row of circles 1 3/8 in. from top and in between circles of previous row and third row 2 1/4 in. from top. Use fondant trimmer to cut last six circles in half. Use damp brush to attach to bottom of cake to form border.
