Springtime Garden Cupcakes

Step 1

Bake cupcakes in White Standard Baking Cups and cool completely on Cooling Grid.

Step 2

Prepare cookie recipe and roll out. Using medium Flower Cut-Out, cut cookies. Bake on Cookie Sheet and cool on Cooling Grid.

Step 3

Prepare 2 recipes of full-strength Color Flow Icing. Reserve a small amount of white and divide the remainder into 6 portions. Tint portions Leaf Green, Rose, Violet with a small amount of Rose added, Orange, Lemon Yellow with a small amount of Golden Yellow added and Red-Red with a small amount of Christmas Red added. Make parchment bags and fit 3 bags with tip 2. Fill the tip 2 parchment bags with some of the rose, yellow and violet Color Flow. Outline flower cookies with tip 2 in rose, yellow and violet. Thin remaining colors following Color Flow Mix directions. Fill other parchment bags halfway with thinned Color Flow colors. Using scissors, cut a small opening in the tip of each bag. Flow in cookies using thinned Color Flow. Let dry overnight. Reserve remaining thinned Color Flow. Fit another parchment bag with tip 3 and fill with reserved full-strength white Color Flow. Pipe flower centers using a dot of white Color Flow.

Step 4

To make ladybugs: Cover a cake board with waxed paper. Add more Lemon Yellow Icing color to darken reserved thinned yellow Color Flow. Using reserved orange, red and yellow Color Flow in cut parchment bags, pipe ¾ in. diameter dot bodies. Let dry overnight. Using black FoodWriter, draw head, wings and spots.

Step 5

For flower stems: Paint lollipop sticks with thinned green Color Flow. Let dry for a few hours and attach cookie flowers with full-strength Color Flow.

Step 6

Prepare Buttercream Icing Recipe. Tint icing using a small amount of Leaf Green Icing Color. Ice cupcakes smooth in green icing using Spatula.

Step 7

Insert a flower and position a ladybug on each cupcake. Trim flower stems as needed with scissors. Using green buttercream icing in a parchment bag fitted with Leaf Decorating Tip 352, pipe a leaf on each stem.

Step 8

Position cupcakes on Cupcakes ´N More® Dessert Stand.
