Snowman in the Spotlight Cookie

Step 1

Bake snowman cookie in pan and cool; set aside.

Step 2

Use royal icing to decorate cookie and lamppost. Use tip 5 and white icing to pipe snowman body, head and arms. Use tip 5 and black icing to pipe hat and tip 3 and red icing to pipe band. Use tip 2 and black icing to pipe dot eyes, mouth and buttons. Use tip 2 and orange icing to pipe pull-out nose. Use tip 3 and green icing to pipe scarf.

Step 3

For base under cookie, place round cookie cutter on cookie sheet and fill 3/8 in. deep with melted light cocoa candy; refrigerate to set and unmold.

Step 4

Cut candy cane 3 1/2 in. long. Cut small hole in round candy base and insert candy cane. Cover round base with melted white candy resembling snow; refrigerate to set.

Step 5

Attach marshmallow to candy cane stick lamppost with melted white candy. Use tip 4 and green icing to outline and pipe windows and top of lantern on lamppost (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Pipe tip 4 green dot on top of light. Use tip 3 and red icing to pipe candles and tip 2 and yellow icing to pipe flame.

Step 6

Attach snowman to base with melted candy; chill to set.
