Big birds call for big pans! After brushing and injecting a turkey with our flavorful marinade, set the bird to browning in our 17 in. x 13 in. Recipe Right® Roasting Pan.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons ginger ground
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper finely ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 orange zest chopped
  • 1 turkey (9-12 pounds)
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth

Makes:

Turkey serves 1 pound per person.

Instructions:

Step 1

Rub:
Mix all dry ingredients until well blended. Preheat oven to 350º F. Lightly spray pan with vegetable pan spray. Rub turkey with seasoning mixture and place breast side up in roasting pan.

Step 2

If desired, stuff cavity with bread stuffing. Tie legs and wings together. Follow roasting directions on package.

Step 3

When turkey becomes golden brown, baste with chicken broth and tent with foil to prevent overcooking.

Step 4

Turkey is done when leg joint moves easily and thermometer reads 180º F both in the thickest part of turkey, not touching bone, and inside the cavity if stuffed.

Step 5

Roast turkey 5-6 degrees below desired doneness as the temperature will continue to rise. Allow turkey to stand 15-20 minutes before carving.
