Quick and Quaint Gingerbread Cottage

Step 1
Mix icing and assemble house according to package directions
Step 2
Outline windows and doors, and fill in with zigzags to cover. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Overpipe outline for door and window frames. Overpipe windowpanes for all windows except main front window.
Step 3
Cut spice drops in half and gum drop candy rings into quarters. Position spice drop halves for tree in main front window, and position candy ring quarters as window and door awnings.
Step 4
Attach mini flavored candy with icing for shutters on house front windows. Attach spice drop halves with icing above door for awning and as door window.
Step 5
Attach gum drop candy ring quarters with icing for side window shutters.
Step 6
Ice roof smooth. With heavy pressure, pipe lines on roof sides and peak. Position mini flavored candy on roof sides. Alternate positioning mini flavored candy and spice drop halves on roof peak.
Step 7
Attach gum drop candy ring halves with icing to eaves. Pipe icicles on side roof edges.
Step 8
Spatula ice cake board. Position spice drop halves to outline walkway.
