When the weather warms up, it's time to move outdoors. But that doesn't mean compromising on class! With Wilton's new Portable Cake Dome and Champagne Caddy and Flutes, it's easy to enjoy fancy food and drink on a picnic or even at the beach. Try baking a moist, banana chocolate cake in Wilton's Dimensions® Perennial pan. Decorate the contoured details of the cake with brightly colored shimmer dust and chocolate jimmies. Serve with champagne for a picnic you won't forget.

Instructions:

Step 1

Heat oven to 325°F. Spray pan lightly with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; beat in vanilla.

Step 4

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Step 5

Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with banana; mix well.

Step 6

Pour into prepared pan.

Step 7

Bake 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 8

Cool 10 minutes in pan.

Step 9

Turn out onto cooling rack. Cool completely before decorating.

Step 10

To decorate: Brush corn syrup in center "seed" area of pan; sprinkle chocolate jimmies over brushed area. With dry brush, brush Shimmer Dust over cake, as desired.
