In advance: Make candy plaque using mitt pan and Candy Melts: 5 oz. white, 2 oz. red, 2 oz. dark cocoa, 18 oz. peanut butter mixed with 2 oz. light cocoa for lighter brown shown. Also: Mold 12 candy baseballs using Piping Method and Lollipop Mold without sticks. Pipe red stitching after unmolding using melted candy in cut parchment bag. And: Mold candy message using alphabet mold from 10 pack set.
Bake and cool 2-layer cake (trim layers to 1 1/2 in. for a 3 in. high cake) and place on foil-wrapped board. Prepare and cover cake with 72 oz. light green rolled fondant; reserve excess green. Use Dividing Wheel to divide cake into 12ths. Attach baseball candies at marks using melted candy.
Tint remaining green and 8 oz. white fondant dark green and roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cut 1 x 5 in. strips. Use knife to cut away triangular grass blades at upper edge, about 3/4 in. deep. Roll strip and separate random blades. Attach around cake using Piping Gel. Repeat to complete border. Position candy plaque, message and players.
