Instructions:

Step 1

Bake and cool cake. Place on foil-wrapped cake board. Ice top with white buttercream and sides with light blue buttercream. Using small-tooth edge of decorating comb, form page effect on sides of cake. Using tip 7 and light blue buttercream, pipe bead border around cake base.

Step 2

Cover top of cake with two White Sugar Sheets! Trim to fit.

Step 3

Using Rotary Cutter, cut two rectangles, 8 3/4 long x 6 in. wide, from two Red Sugar Sheets! Center and attach to white pages using piping gel.

Step 4

Crush 1 teaspoon of each Cake Sparkles color and sift through tea strainer. Set aside.

Step 5

Left Page: Using Rotary Cutter, cut a rectangle, 3 5/8 in. long x 3 in. wide from Purple Sugar Sheets! Attach at an angle to top left of page using piping gel.

Step 6

Left Page: Using party hat cookie cutter as a guide and FoodWriter, trace shape on back side (shiny side) of Bright Green Sugar Sheets! Use scissors to cut hat. Trace pompom and bottom ruffle shapes on Bright Blue Sugar Sheets! Cut out shapes. Brush pompom and ruffle with piping gel; sprinkle with crushed blue Cake Sparkles. Attach pompom and ruffle to hat using piping gel. Attach hat to purple rectangle using piping gel.

Step 7

Left Page: Using smallest star cutter as a guide and FoodWriter, trace shape on back side (shiny side) of Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Cut out shape with scissors. Attach to red page using piping gel.

Left Page: Using Rotary Cutter, cut a rectangle, 3 5/8 long x 3 1/4 in. wide, from Bright Green Sugar Sheets! Attach at an angle to bottom right of page using piping gel.

Step 9

Left Page: Using birthday cake cutter as a guide and FoodWriter, trace shape on back side (shiny side) of Purple Sugar Sheets! Cut out shape using scissors. Using Rotary Cutter, cut 1/8 in. wide strips, to fit width of each cake layer, from Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Brush strips with piping gel and sprinkle with crushed yellow Cake Sparkles. Attach strips to cake tiers using piping gel. Attach confetti from Flowerful Medley Assortment with piping gel.

Step 10

Left Page: For candle, use Rotary Cutter to cut a rectangle, 5/8 long x 1/8 in. wide, from Bright Blue Sugar Sheets! Cut a flame from Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Attach to cake using piping gel. Attach completed cake to green rectangle.

Step 11

Left Page: Using punch with Small Circle Cutting Insert, cut balloons from Bright Blue, Bright Yellow and Purple Sugar Sheets! For strings, cut three strips, 3 long x 1/16 in. wide, from Black Sugar Sheets! Attach balloons and strings to upper right corner using piping gel. Attach jumbo confetti to page using piping gel.

Step 12

Right Page: Using Rotary Cutter, cut two presents, 2 1/2 long x 2 in. wide, from Bright Blue and Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! For ribbon and bow, cut two strips, 2 1/2 long x 3/8 in. wide, and four ovals, 3/4 in. long, from Bright Yellow and Bright Green Sugar Sheets! Brush ribbons and bows with piping gel and sprinkle with matching crushed Cake Sparkles.

Step 13

Right Page: Attach ribbons and bows to presents using piping gel. Attach presents to upper and lower corners of page using piping gel. Spell out message with letters from black Alphabet/Number Sugar Sheets! Attach to page with piping gel.

Step 14

Right Page: Using punch with Small Circle Cutting Insert, cut balloons from Bright Green and Purple Sugar Sheets! For strings, cut two strips, 3 long x 1/16 in. wide, from Black Sugar Sheets! Attach balloons and strings to cake using piping gel. Attach jumbo confetti to page using piping gel.
