Modern Monogram Cake

Perfect for birthdays and congratulations, this bright and bold monogramed cake is sure to please! Decorating is a snap using Sugar Sheets! and tools.


Difficulty: Easy


Step 1

Bake and cool 2-layer 3 in. high cake.  Place on foil-wrapped cake board. Ice smooth with buttercream.

Step 2

Using Circles Nesting Cookie Cuttes, cut 5 1/2 in. diameter circle from Red Sugar Sheets! Attach to center of cake with piping gel.

Step 3

Using punch with Spiral Cutting Insert, cut 14 swirls from Red Sugar Sheets! Using piping gel, attach to top of cake around the edges of the circle.

Step 4

Using desired letter cutter from set as a guide, trace initial with black Foodwriter on back side (shiny side) of Black Sugar Sheets! Cut with scissors. Attach to center of circle with piping gel.

Step 5

Using Rotary Cutter, cut three strips, 1 in. wide, along the length of Red Swirl Sugar Sheets! Attach to bottom border of cake using piping gel. Trim as needed.
