Magical Castle Cake
Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing or Buttercream Icing ( 5 cups)
1 pkg (18.25 ounces) cake mix any flavor
Ingredients to prepare cake mix
Ice cream sugar cones optional
gummy fish and other candies
Cake serves 20.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two 10-inch round cake pans with vegetable pan spray.
Prepare cake mix following package instructions using water, oil and eggs. Pour into prepared pan; bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.
Tape together 3 cake circles; wrap in fanci-foil. Stack cake layers on prepared cake circles, using icing between layers. Tint remaining icing yellow. Spatula ice cake with yellow icing.
Using icing, attach tower peaks or, if desired, ice cream cones to castle turret towers. Attach turret towers to side of cake with icing. Press castle windows, roof peak and door into icing. Tint piping gel blue; spread around cake on cake circle. Decorate cake with candy, as desired, using icing if necessary.
