Cake serves 110.
In advance: Prepare hexagon bases. Cut cake circles and foamcore 1 in. larger than corresponding pan size. Cover base boards with rolled fondant and set aside. Also: Make icing dots. Cover cake boards with waxed paper; lightly spray with vegetable pan spray. Use thinned royal icing to pipe 500 tip 3 dots, 1/4 in. wide. Let dry 48 hours. While still attached to boards, brush dots with Pearl Dust mixed with extract. Let dry.
Bake and cool cakes; set each on a cut-to-fit hexagon cake board. Prepare and cover cakes with rolled fondant; smooth with Fondant Smoother. Prepare cakes for Push-In Pillar Construction. Cut triangle patterns in waxed paper and attach to cake sides with dots of icing; fondant triangles will later be positioned in these areas. Use large fluffy brush to cover background areas on cake sides with Pearl Dust. Remove waxed paper triangles. Position cakes on their covered boards.
Roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use patterns and straight-edge wheel of Cutter/Embosser to cut 12 triangles in each size. Brush backs with damp brush and attach to cake sides, aligning widest edge of triangles with top and bottom edges of cake. Roll out fondant 3/8 in. thick. Use wide end of tip 3 to cut 18 buttons. Brush tops with Pearl Dust; brush backs with damp brush and attach over triangle points. Attach royal icing dots around triangles using 5 dots on each edge on 9?in. cake, 6 dots on 12 in. and 7 dots on 15 in. Roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use pattern to cut 6 center diamonds in each size. Brush backs with damp brush and attach, centering over corners.
At reception: Using double-stick tape, attach 2 smallest covered hexagon boards to corresponding 8 and 10 in. plates. Assemble cakes. Position topper
