Instructions:
Step 1
In advance: Prepare and cover base board.
Make cookie stars. Prepare and roll out dough. Cut about 16 stars using 2 smallest cutters from set. Bake and cool cookies. Pour on tinted thinned royal icing to cover. Let dry on waxed paper covered boards.
Step 2
Bake and cool Buzz cake. Position on wrapped, cut-to-fit Cake Board. Ice sides smooth with buttercream matching blue planet. Use tip 3 to fill in eyes and teeth; pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.
Step 3
Use tip 1 to fill in iris; pat smooth. Use tip 1 to outline iris and pipe dot pupil. Using tip 3, outline remaining details and fill in buttons, patches and blue and violet bolts; pat fill-ins smooth. Fill in design with tip 13 stars. Pipe tip 3 eyebrows; pat smooth. Pipe tip 5 bead bottom border.
Step 4
Position Buzz on planet and surround with stars.
