Bake and cool cookies. Use full-strength brown icing and tip 3 to outline handle of broom and full-strength yellow icing and tip 3 to outline bristles of broom. Let dry. Use tip 3 and thinned down brown icing to fill in handle and thinned yellow icing to fill in bristles. Let dry. Use full-strength yellow icing to pipe lines on bristles and sprinkle with yellow sugar; remove excess sugar. Use tip 2 and full-strength yellow color flow to pipe horizontal line on broom.
