Color flow icing makes it possible to create smooth 2-tone special effects that would be impossible to achieve with regular icing. Cookies are iced in stages so colors don’t run together.

Instructions:

Step 1

Bake and cool cookies.

Step 2

Prepare color flow icing mix and reserve some full-strength white.

Step 3

Tint remaining color flow light and dark pink.

Step 4

Use tip 2 and light pink icing in full-strength to outline cookie.

Step 5

Use tip 2 and dark pink full-strength icing to pipe heart 1/2 in. from outer heart border. Use tip 2 and thinned-down dark pink icing to fill in heart; let dry.

Step 6

Use tip 2 and full-strength white icing to pipe vertical lines on cookies.

Step 7

Use tip 3 to attach jumbo heart confetti to cookies.
