Frosty French Toast

  • Nesting Snowflake Cookie Cutters

Ingredients:

  • 8-12 day-old bread thick slices
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon or maple candy flavoring
  • confectioners' sugar

Makes: French toast serves 8.


instructions

Press cookie cutters squarely down to cut snowflake shapes from bread.

Melt butter in skillet over low heat.

In shallow bowl, beat together eggs, milk, granulated sugar, salt and candy flavoring.

Dip bread into mixture, coating both sides. Place in skillet.

Cook about 2 minutes each side, until golden brown.

Serve immediately with a sprinkling of confectioners' sugar.
