Flowers and Fringe Cake
Cake serves 12
Bake and cool a two-layer, 4 in. high, cake. Place on foil-wrapped cake circle; position on cake pedestal. Ice smooth with white buttercream.
Using Slide-N-Cut Edge Cutter, cut four strips, 1 1/4 in. wide, along the length of Light Pink Sugar Sheets! Using border punch with Scallop Border Cutting Insert, cut scallops on one side of strip. Attach strips to top and bottom borders of cake with piping gel. Trim, as needed, to fit.
Using Slide-N-Cut Edge cutter, cut two strips, 1/4 in. wide, along the length of Bright Pink Sugar Sheets! Attach over top of fringe strips with piping gel.
Using Slide-N-Cut Edge Cutter, cut two strips, 1 3/4 in. wide, along the length of White Sugar Sheets! Make fringe 1 1/4 in. deep, with scissors. Attach top 1/4 in. of strip to bottom edge of cake with piping gel.
Using border punch with Flower Chain Border Cutting Insert, cut five flower chains from Bright Pink Sugar Sheets! Attach around the cake with piping gel. Attach dots from flower chain flowers to border scallops and flowers with piping gel. Reserve three dots for cake top flowers
Using punch with Flower Cutting Insert, cut three flowers from Bright Pink Sugar Sheets! Let dry 1 hour in small Flower Forming Cup. Attach reserved Bright Pink Sugar Sheets! dots to center of flower with piping gel.
Attach flowers to cake top with buttercream.
