See how easily your drop flowers from the Decorating Basics Course can dress up a simple iced cake! You can make them in royal icing in advance and place them on the cake or use buttercream and air dry before positioning.

Instructions:

Step 1

In advance: Make approximately 75 tip 2D white drop flowers in royal or buttercream icing with tip 3 blue dot centers. Make extras to allow for breakage and let dry.

Step 2

Bake and cool 3-layer round cake (bake 2 layers 2 in. high and one layer 1 in. high for a 5 in. high cake). Ice smooth in buttercream. Attach rows of flowers on bottom and top borders. Divide area between in thirds and attach 2 additional rows of flowers.
