Easter Egg Cookies

Make this year’s Easter egg hunt a sweet adventure! Fill the baskets with decorated egg-shaped cookies created using the Wilton Egg-Shaped Cookie Pan and colorful icings.


Difficulty: Somewhat Easy


Step 1

Bake cookies following recipe instructions. Cool.

Step 2

Prepare royal icing. Tint color desired for cookie.

Step 3

Position cookies on grid over parchment paper.

Step 4

Thin royal icing; pour icing over cookies to cover, tap to smooth. Let dry overnight.

Step 5

Decorate cookies using full-strength royal icing. For flowers, butterflies and bunnies, use tip 3 to pipe in shapes and add outlines, dots, and beads. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.

Step 6

Pipe tip 2 zigzags, string and bead outlines.

Step 7

Sprinkle on Sparkling Sugar, if desired.
