Dino Dines Out
Rendered in candy, this prehistoric composition tempts every guest’s sweet tooth. Mold Candy Melts® in our Mini Dinosaur Pan and Mini Loaf Pan to create the colorful creature and grassy-earth plaques.
Ingredients:
- Easy-Add White Candy Melts® Candy Add to shopping list White Candy Melts® Candy
- Easy-Add Orange Candy Melts® Candy Add to shopping list Orange Candy Melts® Candy
- Easy-Add Garden Candy Color Set Add to shopping list Garden Candy Color Set
- Pretzel rods
- Jelly spearmint leaves

Instructions:
Step 1
Mold orange dinosaur candy plaque 1/4 in. deep in pan cavity (reserve 2 orange wafers for each dinosaur to make easel backs).
Step 2
Tint portions of melted white candy green and violet using candy colors. Mold green candy plaque in mini loaf pan.
Refrigerate plaques until firm; unmold.
Step 3
Pipe violet spots, mouth and eye using melted candy in cut disposable bag; refrigerate until firm.
Step 4
Trim round edges off orange candy discs and attach with melted candy to back of dinosaur for easel backs.
Step 5
For tree, cut jelly spearmint leaves lengthwise in half, refrigerate (this will help candy harden quickly when assembling).
Step 6
Using melted candy, attach leaves to top of pretzel rod; when set, attach bottom of pretzel to back of dinosaur.
Step 7
Attach dinosaur to candy plaque base, and additional jelly spearmint leaves around dinosaur with melted candy.
