This colorful crayon design will draw lots of attention at a birthday party! Make the crayons using a rainbow of light and bright Sugar Sheets! colors.

Instructions:

Step 1

Bake and cool three-layer cake (trim 1 layer to 1 in. high for a 5 in. high cake). Place on foil-wrapped cake circle. Ice smooth with white buttercream.

Step 2

Using circle cutter, cut an 8 in. circle from White Sugar Sheets! Using FoodWriter markers, draw balloons, streamers, dots, curliques and a stick figure. Position circle on cake top.

Step 3

For crayons, use Rotary Cutter to cut seven strips, 4 long x 1 in. wide, from Light Blue Sugar Sheets! Cut six strips each in same dimension from Light Yellow, Light Green and Light Pink Sugar Sheets! Attach to cake side with piping gel.

Step 4

For crayon bands, use Rotary Cutter to cut strips, 1 long x 1/4 in. wide, from bright colored Sugar Sheets! Attach to crayons with piping gel.

Step 5

For crayon tips, use Rotary Cutter to cut rounded triangles, 1 high x 1 in. wide at base, from bright colored Sugar Sheets! Attach to cake with piping gel.
