Ice 2-layer cake smooth. Mark pattern on cake top with toothpick.
Outline faces with tip 3 strings. Pipe tip 2 dot eyes and tip 2 string mouths.
Add tip 3 string hair, cap, moustache and ears.
Pipe in tip 5 bows; add tip 3 dots (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
Print tip 3 message.
Pipe tip 3 heart outlines on cake sides, alternate with crayon icing decorations (optional).
Pipe tip 21 star top border.
Pipe tip 18 rosette bottom border.
Add candy to center of rosettes.
