Charming Cottage Gingerbread House
What a welcoming, cozy little cottage. Zigzag icing snow designs on roof topped with candy and punctuated with festive icicles. A dream house trimmed with bright and tempting candies and borders with green leaf trees.
Ingredients:

- granulated sugar
- confectioners' sugar
- shredded coconut (if desired)
Makes:
1 gingerbread house.

- Mixer and bowl

- Decorating bag, decorating tip, cardboard base (included in kit)
- Scissors
- Paring Knife
Instructions:
Step 1
Divide prepared decorating icing in half. Use half for decorating the house now, the other half for adding "snow" around house later (keep covered with a damp cloth).
Step 2
Fill decorating bag with 1/2 cup icing.
Step 3
Outline front door and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Cut several mini sugared gum drops in half. Attach mini sugared gum drop half in center of door. Attach mini sugared gum drop halves on peak of door and mini round multi-colored candies on side frame of door with icing.
Step 4
Outline window on front of house and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Cut green leaves to resemble evergreen branches and attach to center of window to form tree. Attach mini sugared gum drop halves to window sides. Decorate icicles on window ledge.
Step 5
For all remaining windows, outline and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Decorate panes on windows and icicles on window ledge. Attach mini sugared gum drop halves to window sides.
Step 6
Ice roof smooth and decorate zigzag garlands. Attach mini round multi-colored candies at beginning points of each garland. Decorate line on peak of house and attach mini sugared gum drops. Attach mini round multi-colored candies to tops of mini sugared gum drops. Decorate icicles along eaves and roof line.
Step 7
Ice snow on base fluffy and attach mini round multi-colored candies along walkway.
Step 8
Cut green leaves in small pieces to resemble evergreen leaves and attach around base of house.
NOTE: Additional candy may be required.
