Ribbon-like quilling flowers give this elegantly tiered cake a contemporary lift. For the stems, paint Lollipop Sticks with green-tinted vanilla extract and add fondant leaves created with a Rose Leaf Fondant Cut & Press Set.

Instructions:

Step 1

Two days in advance: Make Quilling Flowers.

*Combine Violet with Rose for violet shown. Combine Leaf Green with Lemon Yellow for green shown.

Step 2

Bake and cool 1-layer 12 x 2 in. cake and 2-layer 6, 8, 10 in. cakes (bake 2 layers 2 1/2 in. high for 5 in. high cakes). Prepare for Stacked Construction. Ice cakes smooth and stack in cascading fashion: 10 in. at back right of 12 in. cake, 8 in. at back center of 10 in. cake, 6 in. at the back left of 8 in. cake. Randomly pipe tip 6 dots on cake sides; pipe tip 6 bead bottom borders on all tiers. Insert flowers cascading from top to bottom tier; trim sticks as needed.
