Boys of Summer Mini Cakes

Step 1

In advance: Make hat brim from candy. Melt candy according to package directions and place in disposable decorating bag. Cut small hole in end of bag and outline and pipe-in brim shape on waxed paper. Refrigerate until firm, and then carefully peel off paper.

Step 2

Bake cake mini cakes and cool completely on Cooling Grid.

Step 3

Prepare Buttercream Icing recipe. Tint a portion copper (skin tone) and use spatula to ice surface of cake smooth.

Step 4

Using red buttercream icing, outline hat with tip 3 and cover with tip 16 stars. Using white buttercream icing, print tip 3 letter on hat.

Step 5

Using white buttercream icing, pipe tip 3 dot whites of eyes. Using black buttercream icing, pipe tip 3 dot pupils and string mouth and hair. Attach brim to hat with icing.
