instructions

Several days in advance, make arm and hand: Add 1 teaspoon of Gum-Tex to 12 oz. of fondant. Tint small portions green and black, tint remaining mixture brown.

Roll out green fondant and cut hand; turn hand over and fold fingers over in position shown (cut between each finger if needed to elongate). Press small pieces of black fondant into nail area; score knuckles with knife.

Roll out brown fondant and cut arm using pattern. Let arm and hand dry thoroughly, in a dark area.

Using candy colors, tint portions of melted white candy black (mix red and blue), and yellow.

Mold a variety of lollipops using painting method; refrigerate until firm.

Cut craft block to fit cauldron and wrap with foil.

Arm and hand are two separate pieces: Attach 113/4 in. lollipop stick to back of hand with melted candy; cut a second stick in half and attach to back of arm.

Cut stick on 1 bat candy to 2 in. and attach to hand with melted candy.

Insert arm, hand and lollipops in cauldron.

Attach gumballs with melted candy.

Position folded cellophane around cauldron to resemble flames.
