Instructions:

Step 1

Bake and cool cake. Trim 3 in. off one end of cake. Place cake on foil-wrapped cake board. Ice smooth with blue buttercream.

Step 2

Using wing pattern and scissors, cut one wing from Red Sugar Sheets! Reverse pattern and cut a second wing from Red Sugar Sheets! Attach to bottom of cake board, along sides of cake, with piping gel.

Step 3

Using punch with Layered Circles Cutting Insert Set, cut six small circles from Bright Blue Sugar Sheets! Attach circles to wings using piping gel, trimming if necessary.

Step 4

Using Rotary Cutter, cut two strips, 6 long x 3/8 in. wide, and 8 1/2 long x 3/8 in. wide, from Bright Blue Sugar Sheets! Cut two strips, 6 long x 5/8 in. wide, and 8 1/2 long x 5/8 in. wide, from Bright Green Sugar Sheets! Using piping gel, attach shorter strips to the nose of the spacecraft and longer ones to bottom.

Step 5

Using door pattern and scissors, cut door from Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Attach to cake using piping gel.

Step 6

Using punch with Layered Circles Cutting Insert Set, cut two large and one small circle from Purple Sugar Sheets! Cut one large and two small circles from Bright Blue Sugar Sheets! Attach for portholes with piping gel.

Step 7

Using punch with Layered Circles Cutting Insert Set, cut seven small circles from Red Sugar Sheets! Attach with piping gel.

Step 8

Using scissors, cut out random length flames from Red and Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Use piping gel to attach to board in a wavy fashion at bottom of cake.

Step 9

Using punch with Layered Stars Cutting Insert Set, cut approximately 20 stars in various sizes from Bright Yellow Sugar Sheets! Attach to board with piping gel.
