Black & White Classic Cake

Create a Black and White Classic cake that matches the bride’s color scheme and personality. Each layer is covered with pure white fondant then trimmed with ribbon, ready-made floral sprays and a simple icing border.

Step 1

Prepare 2-layer cakes for rolled fondant. Cover cakes with fondant; smooth with Fondant Smoother.

Step 2

Prepare cakes for 2-plate and pillar construction.

Step 3

Cut a strip of black ribbon to fit around each cake; overlap ends and secure with tape.

Step 4

Pipe tip 6 bead bottom borders.

Step 5

Attach white ribbon to cake base with tape.

Step 6

Position rose sprays.
