Instructions:
Step 1
In advance: Prepare fondant blanket. Roll out pastel colors 1/8 in. thick and cut 4 in. squares, 3 in each color. Position on foil-wrapped board, beginning 1 in. from edges; secure with piping gel. Use ridged wheel of Cutter/Embosser to imprint quilting lines, 1 in. apart and at 45º angle. Add 1/2 teaspoon Gum-Tex to 8 oz. white fondant. Roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cut 1 in. strips and pleat to form ruffle. Attach to board with piping gel. Cover seam with tip 4 bead border.
Step 2
Position bear cake on foil-wrapped cake board. Pipe in ears, eyes, paw pads and foot pads with tip 5; pipe in pupils, nose and mouth with tip 4 (smooth all with finger dipped in cornstarch). Cover bear with tip 16 stars.
*Combine Brown with Red-Red for brown shown.
