In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use skull cutter from set to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in skin tone, then
decorate features as follows.
Draw veins on candy eyeballs
with edible marker; attach with dots of
icing. Pipe in tip 5 dress. Pipe tip 12 pull-out
arms; pipe in sleeves with tip 5. Pipe tip 4
pull-out hair, pipe in tip 3 bow and dot knot.
Pipe tip 2 outline eyebrows, eye sockets,
mouth and teeth, dot toes, pull out nose,
fingers and fringe.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
